It’s this emotional connection and the feeling of being on vacation that led us to explore new names for our restaurant. And Palma Kitchen + Tap was the clear winner. Not only is “Palma” Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese for “palms,” the design is also reflective of the Mallorca Islands of Spain, often referred to as “Palma de Mallorca.”
While the atmosphere is sophisticated, it also blends beautifully with the Mediterranean architectural theme of La Casa at large. The upscale design gives you a warm and comfortable feeling that easily transports you to Europe. The open layout design segues elegantly to the outdoors, offering diners the opportunity for casual intimate evenings under the palms.

Chef Josh Goetz is a Certified Executive Chef from the American Culinary Federation and brings 20 years of experience in New York and Hong Kong’s restaurant and resort club industry. Josh is a Certified Nutritionist from Cornell University, is certified in Thai cuisine from Sompet in Thailand, and holds an Associate Culinary Arts Degree from the New England Culinary Institute, where he was a James Beard Society Scholarship recipient.
Chef Goetz comes to us most recently from Hawaii, where he was the Executive Chef of 53 By the Sea. Before that he was the Executive Chef for over a decade at the American Club Hong Kong serving over 3,000 members and managing twelve F&B outlets and seven catering venues. He has received a variety of press notoriety and numerous awards.
Chef Goetz is excited to infuse some of his favorite entrées into the BlueStar Signature Menu and work alongside Sous Chef Seer Allen and the Encanterra team at Palma Kitchen + Tap and on the menus for Explorations, Tapas, and Solaz.
