Chef Michael Hoobler has a resume to be envied by all in the Valley of the Sun. He came to Encanterra most recently from the Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, where he oversaw the kitchen operations in all of the five clubhouses in that community. In his twenty year career prior to Desert Mountain, Michael had long stints with such renowned venues as Desert Highlands, DC Ranch, and Boulders Resort. Most notably, Michael was the Executive Chef at the Royal Palms in Phoenix from 1995 to 2000, a time period when that resort’s feature restaurant – T. Cook’s – was considered by Gourmet, Food & Wine, Zagat, and many others the premier dining experience in all of Arizona. Chef Michael has showcased his talents at The James Beard House in New York City on several occasions, earning praise from some of the most discerning critics in the world.
