Chef Bob Luckhart learned to cook out of necessity. His mother and maternal grandmother were excellent cooks, and he helped from time to time with food preparation. When his parents opened their own business and started working long hours, he became a “latchkey kid.” He would often call his Mom at work and ask how to make certain things for himself at home, for dinner. Thus, a life of cooking was born! At 17, he worked as a delivery driver for a pizza shop, and when the owners saw that he showed interest in anything and everything, they began to teach him how to do almost everything in the shop.
Chef Bob enrolled in the Culinary Program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, graduating at the top of the class. After graduation, he worked in various roles at Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, and The Grand Hotel on Macinac Island, Michigan. After moving from Pennsylvania to Florida, he worked for various independently owned restaurants in both cook and chef capacities. In 2010, he began working at the Westin Hotel, Lake Mary as Chef de Cuisine of Shula’s 347 Grill, then was promoted to Exec Sous Chef, and finally Executive Chef. In 2016, Chef Bob joined the Team at Trilogy Orlando, much to the delight of the Trilogy Members.
