Welcome to Gait-to-Gate, Trilogy’s inter-community walking-based challenge. For the month of November, Members and team members are logging steps to help achieve personal targets and our overall goal. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 spaceflight, our goal for 2019 is to walk to the MOON! We know it’s a big goal, but if anyone can accomplish it, it’s our Members!
Gait-to-Gate is open to all Members in our Trilogy communities and launched November 1st. The challenge will last 30 days and is designed for all fitness levels. Even if walking isn’t your thing, there are still ways to participate.

What is Gait-to-Gate?
We have extended the registration deadline for Gait-to-Gate to 11:59pm on Friday, November 8th. The cost to participate in the program is $15.00, which includes the Gait-to-Gate shirt (while supplies last), opening and closing refreshments, and a chance to win prizes at the Club level. Each community is logging steps, and competing against each other, for the grand prize – an article in next year’s #MTL Magazine.
Now that we are officially in November, it’s time to start counting your steps to participate in our Gait-to-Gate step challenge!
Log Your Steps
It’s November! Track your progress! Each week, log in here on the Gait-to-Gate page, using the username and password you created during registration. Steps may be entered anytime, but in order to count toward your weekly challenges, steps must be entered by Monday at 9:00am MST. Steps entered after the Monday deadline will still count toward the overall goal.

If you’re doing activities other than simply walking, they may be entered as well, using the following conversion:
- 30 minutes of light exercise equals 1,000 steps (examples of “light exercise”: tai chi, meditation, stretch classes)
- 30 minutes of moderate exercise equals 1,500 steps (examples of “moderate exercise”: yoga, Pilates class)
- 30 minutes of vigorous exercise equals 3,000 steps (examples of “vigorous exercise”: boot camp, spin, Zumba, Afturburn classes)
Please note, when using the conversion, enter either their steps for that period OR the conversion amount, not both. For example, a runner who runs vigorously for 30 minutes would either enter their steps OR the conversion from above.
Make a mistake? If you submitted an incorrect number of steps, no problem! Simply log in to your Gait-to-Gate Profile and correct your step count for that week, and click the yellow “Update” button.
